On the morning of May 31st, President Sha Aimin and his delegation visitedCollege ofFuture Transportation to research the construction of the innovative characteristic college and the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents. President Sha Aimin engaged in in-depth discussions with the attendees regarding the development ofCollege ofFuture Transportation, its goals and positioning, the cultivation model for top-notch innovative talents, the construction of distinctive courses, scientific research and platform development, as well as the challenges and future development plans faced by the institute. He gained a comprehensive and systematic understanding of the construction and development ofCollege ofFuture Transportation as an innovative characteristic college and specifically listened to everyone's opinions and suggestions on accelerating the construction of the innovative characteristic college and deepening the reform of the cultivation model for top-notch innovative talents.
President Sha Aimin pointed out that as an experimental zone for the reform and innovation of talent cultivation models in the university,College ofFuture Transportation should adhere to reform and innovation as the driving force. It should broaden its development ideas, innovate management systems and operational mechanisms, mobilize internal and external resources, seize new opportunities, and explore new pathways. He further emphasized the need to clarify development goals, prioritize talent cultivation as the core, continuously improve the talent cultivation model that emphasizes critical thinking, wide-ranging knowledge, solid foundations, broad frontiers, and deep interdisciplinary integration, establish integrated platforms for teaching and research, and explore new mechanisms and models that link research and talent cultivation. He also stressed the importance of establishing flexible talent recruitment mechanisms, fully utilizing various talent policies of the university, and strengthening faculty team construction. The institute should focus on revolutionary and disruptive technological innovations in the field of transportation and the demand for cultivating top-notch talents, plan for sustainable development, create demonstration projects with promotional value, and further enhance the quality and excellence of talent cultivation in the institute, empowering the university in cultivating top-notch innovative talents. He expressed full support from the university in the comprehensive reform and development ofCollege ofFuture Transportation as the vanguard and experimental zone of reform, and called on all functional departments to fully ensure resource support.
