On the afternoon of June 6th, Fwa Tien Fang, the Dean of College of Future Transportation, along with the Executive Dean Sun Jian, Vice Dean Tang Yingying, and Cui Hua, visited School of Future Technology of Xi'an Jiaotong University for a research symposium. Wang Xiaohua, the Executive Dean of School of Future Technology, and Vice Dean Cheng Jie participated in the symposium. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, curriculum development, and faculty team construction.
Wang Xiaohua warmly welcomed the visit of the delegation from College of Future Transportation and provided an introduction to the basic situation of School of Future Technology in terms of its construction background and goals, reform highlights and measures, as well as construction progress and achievements. He expressed that School of Future Technology serves as a "testing ground" for the reform of talent cultivation models in the university, focusing on implementing three major reforms: teaching, learning, and management. They have been continuously promoting project-driven talent cultivation model reform, implementing the new model of deep integration between industry and education with a focus on "one center, one incubation, two orientations, and medical engineering," as well as establishing an industry-led collaborative innovation entity for the integration of production, education, and research. Their aim is to cultivate a faculty team of "scientists + engineers," establish a cutting-edge project-based curriculum system, and strive to cultivate top-notch innovative talents.

He then provided an introduction to College of Future Transportation, focusing on its goals, talent cultivation models, curriculum development, and faculty team construction. He emphasized that College of Future Transportation is dedicated to revolutionary and disruptive technological innovations in the field of transportation and the cultivation of top-notch talents. Leveraging the advantages of Chang'an University's main disciplines and professional resources, they aim to explore a new model of transportation talent cultivation that emphasizes critical thinking, wide-ranging knowledge, solid foundations, broad frontiers, and deep interdisciplinary integration through curriculum system construction, innovative quality practices, and multidimensional competence training. Their commitment is to provide the country with a group of high-quality, composite, leading talents in future transportation technology, contributing to the construction of a strong transportation nation.
During the symposium, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges regarding talent cultivation, curriculum development, faculty team construction, and student management. The participants expressed their mutual commitment to strengthen communication, learning, and exchanges in order to jointly explore the reform of talent cultivation system and mechanisms.
After the symposium, Wang Xiaohua led the delegation from College of Future Transportation to visit the exhibition hall and innovation alliance, and they took a group photo at the entrance of the institute as a memento.
